                                 Result of AGM

Wellington Market Company plc announces that, at the Annual General Meeting
held today, all ordinary and special resolutions proposed were duly passed.

During the meeting the Chairman, Lord Lee of Trafford, commented: "Trading
conditions have continued very much as last year and a loss is likely for the
half year to 30th June 2009. As is traditional, the Board expect trading to be
better in the second half of the year."
