Wellington Market Company plc announces that on 26 June 2009, Mr Michael
Chadwick, a non-executive director of the Company, purchased 15,000 ordinary
shares of £0.50 each ("Ordinary Shares") at £0.50 per share.

As a result of this transaction, Mr Chadwick is interested in 1,099,270
Ordinary Shares representing 18.32% of total voting rights of which 25,000 is
beneficial and 1,074,270 is non-beneficial.
