                               Grant of Options

Wellington Market Company plc announces that on 5th January 2010, the Company
granted Mr Christopher Barber, the Development Director, 10,000 share options
("Options") over ordinary shares of £0.50 each. The Options have an exercise
price of £0.53 and are exerciseable from 5th January 2012. The Options were
granted under the Wellington Market Company plc 2006 Enterprise Incentive
Scheme.

As a result of this transaction, Christopher Barber is interested in 40,000
Options in the Company, representing 0.67 per cent. of the issued share capital
and 5,000 ordinary shares in the Company, representing 0.08 per cent. of the
issued share capital.
